Saligao: The active membership drive of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee began in Calangute constituency on Monday and within three days over 100 members were enrolled.
The Calangute Constituency booth has so far covered Parra, Calangute and Candolim to enrol its active membership. Former Calangute MLA, Agnelo Fernandes called upon party leaders and workers not only in Calangute booth but across the state to sincerely involve themselves in the active membership drive.
“Besides the existing members we also aim to enrol new members in each booth. We will approach people through door to door campaigns and inform them about the party plans as well as the works carried out by the Congress,”said Agnelo.
The North Goa District President,Vijay Bhike; Block President, Benedict Dsouza; Former Panchayat Members, Clotilda Braganza, Jose Braganza and Ana Marie Dsouza were part of this drive. Also present were Social Workers, Swapnesh Vaigankar and Cruz Silveira.
