Saligao: Colvale police arrested three people for assaulting, threatening driver and supervisor of a milk van at Tivim.
police informed that one Sadashiv Kamble native of Kolhapur and driver of a milk vehicle, had lodged a complaint against the unknown person for wrongful restraint, threatening and assault. Police said that the incident took place on Wednesday around 2 pm at Amyani in Tivim wherein three unknown accused who were occupants of a four-wheeler with their common intention wrongfully restrained the milk vehicle of the complainant by putting across their vehicle, assaulted the complainant and his supervisor Chandrakant Patil with slaps, fist blows and abused them with filthy language. The accused also damaged their vehicle by pelting stones and by puncturing the van’s front two tyres.
Police arrested Manoj Kamulkar (30) resident of Korgao- Pernem, Pranav Borkar (29) resident Pilerne and native of Mumbai and Mandeep Das (32) residing at Tivim and native of West Bengal.Head constable Mahadev Parab is investigating the case.
