A scooterist dies on the spot after being hit by Kadamba bus killing him on the spot
Mapusa : a scooterist was killed on the spot after A Kadamba bus heading towards Panaji from Mapusa station hit his scooter on the side of the road.
The incident took place on Friday at 10.15 am. the road near the Green park Hotel in Guirim
According to the information given by Mapusa police, the Kadamba bus bearing registration number GA03 0382 was going to Panaji from Mapusa Kadamba bus stand. At the time, the deceased Fayed Francisco Almeida was traveling in the same direction on his GA03AAS0607 dio scooter.
At this time, the Kadamba bus hit the scooter hard and Almeida fell under the bus. He was seriously injured when the bus dragged him for a long distance.
He was taken to the district hospital Mapusa District Hospital for treatment by a police constable of Mapusa police station.
Mapusa police have arrested Kadamba bus driver Mahendra Manohar Gaonkar, a 40-year-old driver from Mayem for questioning.
Further investigation is being carried out by Sub-Inspector Vibha Volvoikar under the guidance of Mapusa Police Inspector Tushar Lotlikar.
