Mr Shivam Udaykumar Bhatt, a native of Gujarat was arrested by Calangute Police

One Mr Shivam Udaykumar Bhatt, aged 26 years, a native of Gujarat was arrested by Calangute Police on Sunday under section 4 of the Goa Medicare Service Personnel and the Medicare Service institutions ( Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property) Act, 2013 for assaulting the Para- medical staff of Primary Health Centre, Candolim today at around 09.10 hrs when the entry was not allowed by the para- medical staff discharging his duties as a Security Guard to the father of the accused person inside the Health Centre, Candolim for not wearing face mask. The victim was given first aid at PHC Candolim for nose bleed and thereafter referred for medical treatment at GMC Bambolim wherein he is opined to have sustained simple injury. The accused person will be produced tomorrow before JMFC, Mapusa for seeking remand. The written complaint was filed by Dr Roshan Nazareth, Health Officer, PHC Candolim. Further investigations is in progress with PSI Vikas Deykar under the supervision of PI Nolasco Raposo and overall supervision of SDPO, Porvorim Mr Uday Parab and SP, North Mr Shobbit Saxena, IPS.
