NCP General Secretary Sanjay Barde has said that he will resign from the post of the General Secretary of the NCP if ports minister and calangute MLA Michael Lobo is given a Congress ticket he further reitertated that the NCP will not form an alliance with the congress if Michael lobo is given a Congress ticket
Addressing a news conference at the party office barde said that Michael lobo was in was fact the biggest culprit to lure the congress MLA’s into the BJP to form the government
“we have noticed that in the past on several occasions Calangute MLA Michal Lobo had not uttered a word against the congress party but was criticising his own party which shows that he was in favour of the Congress” said Barde and also demanded to know why the GPCC president had also not spoken anything against Michael lobo in the past when he infact he was the culprit to lure Congress MLA’s into the BJP to form the government ” Said Barde
Micheal lobo has received so much criticism from the same party workers all the ills in this constituency like the flourishing drug and prostitution trade and now the same party is hwoing its willigness to take him into the party this is redicolous ” said barde
“some congress workers are sayang that if Michael Lobo gets a congress party ticket the party will become stronger so how are the people going to trust the congress party if they take Michael Lobo as he was himself is the culprit to lure congress MLA’s to join the BJP ” said Barde adding that it will be a big scar for the NCP if they want to form an alliance with the Congress party ias it will look like the congress is supporting the BJP” Said barde

Barde also demanded to know as to why the BJP had not taken action against Lobo for indirectly speaking against the party on Several occasions and demanded to know as to why the GPCC congress president is getting ready to take Michael lobo into party when he was the culprit to lure the congress MLA’s into the BJP adding that both the BJP and congress are sides of the same coin as one party had not taken action against Michael lobo
