Calangute: The calangute block congress has hit out at Deputy Chief Minister and Town and Country Planning Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavalekar and also the Calangute MLA Michael Lobo for instructing the TCP to revoke the license of the illegal construction at the protected site of old Goa
it may be recalled a large number of Goans had gathered in large numbers at the protected site at OLD Goa protected to protest against the illegal construction following which the TCP minister had stated that he has already instructed the TCP Department to revoke the licence of construction and the TCP’s minister statement was also recently endrosed by Calangute MLA Michael lobo who also demanded the revocation of the license .
Knowing very well that the license will be revoked and having inside knowledge michael Lobo the so called leader known for destruction says that license has to be revoked within 48 hours How come he suddenly developed love for Goa when all this while he was quiet” questioned calangute Block congress president Benedict D’souza
speaking further D’souza pointed out that Licences cannot be revoked arbitrarily overnight.
“A Show cause notice has to be given and a stop work order has to be issued. If not they will approach the courts and get a stay. And the case will go on “forever”.This is exactly what the government is doing. Giving them a chance to save the illegal structure” dsouza further said
Sensing public outrage against the project MLA is now trying his best to portray himself as savior of Goa while his credentials are very well known to the public of Goa” said dsouza
