calangute : Calangute block congress has come down heavily on the present MLA of calangute constituency michael Lobo in an attempt to legalise dance bars in calangute through the pi of calanagute Raposo and said such bars are a social evil and a voyeuristic sexual thrill..
It may be recalled that a certain section of the media had reported that the calangute had moved a recommendation before senior officers to enact a legislation for bars employing dancers to take a special dance bar licence in view of protecting the dignity of the women working in bars, restaurants, clubs and pubs.
the block congress has said that they will give a memorandum to PI Raposo and also the higher ups that they dont want dance bars in calangute
” Former calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes said that the calangute PI had been acting on the behest of Calangute MLA Michael lobo
the PI is demanding for legislation for dance bars and and tommorow they will ask for a legislation of prostitution and then it will be drugs so where are they taking calangute” said Fernandes
The block president Mr Benedict further said that such bars affect not just the people who come to the bars but also the women who perform thus destroying families of both..he added that the men who visit these dance bars many a times show less interest in their family and destroys the life of all in the family thus shaking the foundations of the family

Calangute block congress has warned Lobo that the the block along with the people of calangute will agitate on the streets of calangute and will not rest till. this menace of having dance bars is curbed
