Revolutionary Goans removed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) banners illegally installed at the Shivaji Maharaj circle at Bicholim recently. The RG, powered by GSRP candidate for Bicholim, Anish Naik on Thursday questioned the silence of Shivaji Maharaj’s devotees in Goa as well as the BJP over the installation of AAP banners near the statue, and asked what is the use of such fake devotion.
“Shivaji Maharaj never did caste politics like the Aam Aadmi Party. In his Swarajya, everyone had equal rights. It is a disrespectful act on the part of AAP by installing their banners near this Maratha king. The BJP claims blessings of him before their elections but are now keeping quiet n when the warrior king is being insulted by political parties who are using the space allotted to him for their political mileage,” pointed out Anish Naik.
“It is wrong to put banners of political parties in schools, temples and other religious premises,” he added.
Anish went on to lament that surprisingly the municipality or the concerned authority has not objected to this activity. He also warned that Goans would no longer tolerate such dirty politics carried out by outsider political parties in Goa.
