saligao: the devotees of Sai baba will take a procession of Sai bhakts from Goa to shirdi commencing from 15th of January . this is the 9 year wherein the Sai bhakts will be taking the procession to Shirdhi
according to the devotees of Sai baba the Palkhi procession will commence near the taxi stand 6 am and will then make its via the rashtroli devasthan at sim khorlim followed by a Mahaprasad at Karaswada as there is a ban on taking a large procession of the Palki to shirdi, the devotees have decided to take a smaller Palkhi to the Samadhi of Sai baba at Shirdhi. more than 50 devotees have registered for the palkhi procession. the procession of the Palkhi will be taken by following all the MHA guidelines laid down in wake of COVID-19 pandemic like wearing of face masks
addressing a news conference Prashant verlekar said that the actual decision whether the Padyatra would really take place the usual way by which it would be held was not known due to the lockdown which was imposed due to the pandemic
“we tried to contact all the sai bhakts and heard what they had to say and according to that we decided that it should be held and said that the last date for registration is 30th of december” said verlekar
“before that many of the devotees were a little bit afraid as the padyatra might not be held but now the devotees have come out and shown their full enthusiasm” verlekar further said
“I appeal to all the devotees to come out in large numbers irrespective of their religion and take a Mahaprasad in the afternoon and from there take part in the procession” said Gadekar
