North Goa district Congress urges rane to contest elections
Saligao: The North Goa district Congress has demanded 10 time Goa MLA Pratapsingh rane to contest the upcoming state assembly elections scheduled in feb 2022.
Addressing a news conference North Goa district president Vijay bhike said that rane with his knowledge and wisdom will guide Congress as they prepare to contest the next assembly election in 2022
He has laid the foundation for the prosperity and developement of Goa and he has been continously elected since 1972. He has also helped built schools and colleges in India sankhali, industrial training institutes brought industries to Poriem and pushed irrigation projects across the state. He has also launched the state road transport corporation”said Bhike
Rane has also recently made clear that he has no intention of leaving the Congress that he served for more than 45 years. Hence the party is counting on his experience to guide the younger leaders and party workers during the coming polls” He further added
Apart from being Goa’s longest serving legislator he also holds a record for having served as chief minister across six terms between the year 1980 and 2007. He was also the assembly speaker between 2007 and 2012
