BICHOLIM BLOCK CONG PAYS FLORAL TRIBUTE AT MARTYRS MEMORIAL, FELICITATES VETERAN FREEDOM FIGHTER
BICHOLIM: On the occasion of Goa’s 60th liberation day, Congress’ probable candidate and Social Worker from Bicholim, Meghashyam Raut along with the block committee visited the Government School at Bicholim and paid tribute to the martyrs memorial who laid down their lives to liberate Goa from the Portuguese rule. They also felicitated a veteran freedom fighter from Bicholim on the occasion.
“We salute the soldiers and martyrs who defeated the Portuguese during Operation Vijay to set Goa free from their colonial rule. The Bicholim Block Congress Committee also visited and felicitated freedom fighter Vidhyadhar Shirodkar from Bicholim who was part of the struggle for liberation from Portuguese rule,”said Meghashyam.
Also present was Executive member GPCC, Nazir Baig; President Bicholim Block Congress Committee, Nitin Parab; Mahila President, Maria Souza and other congress workers.
