It is with great dismay to see untreated sewage being openly let out by a local shack, restaurant and lodging onto the beach, creating an unpleasant odour to the visiting tourists and holiday makers. The pristine and still famous Baga beach of Goa is well known for all tourists segments, local, domestic and foreigners, a shame that such act of pollution is carried in the open without a care for environment. And after repeated pleas to the concerned authorities and local panchayat bodies are on deaf ears, the adjacent hotel proprietor wished to act on good earnest to protect the beach, he is confronted by the particular shack owner, family and employees to not cover the sewage inlet…. selfish and disgraceful human intervention to cover up the reality.
