PANAJI: The Goa Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) on Sunday strengthened its base in Cumbharjua Constituency with the induction of 300 youth from the area ahead of the Goa assembly elections early next year.
Trinamool Congress leader and Social Worker from Cumbharjua, Samil Volvoikar handed over the party flag to the youth in the presence of TMC leader from Thivim, Kiran Kandolkar and other leaders at a hall in Cumbharjua.
“The people from Cumbharjua constituency are waiting for a change in leadership as well as governance. Infighting in BJP and Congress as well as distrust of the party’s leaders is another cause behind several Goans joining Trinamool Congress. Mamata Didi is an inspiration and the TMC was the only force that could wipe out BJP from Goa. Only TMC can ensure further development of the state and maintain the tradition and heritage of Goa,” said Volvoikar who kicked off his door- to-door campaign after seeking blessings at Om Shree Shanktivinayak and Our lady of Piety Church in Divar island earlier this week.
Goa TMC has a dedicated vision and mission and are prepared to fight tooth and nail to defeat the BJP and usher in a ‘New Dawn’ in the State.
