SAMIL BOOST SPORTS IN ST ESTEVAM
PANAJI: Goa Police SC defeated St Estevam SC 4-0 in a football match to commemorate the feast of Christ the King at St Estevam on Monday.
The event was organized by St Estevam SC and supported by Samil Volvoikar, Goa Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Social Worker from Cumbharjua.
“There is a lot of talent in St Estevam in terms of sports and cultural activities. I offer to extend my support to the talented youth of Cumbharjua constituency as and when needed,” said Volvoikar.
Events like this are aimed at promoting sports in the state. ‘Khela Hobe’ (will play) is the battle cry of the TMC during the upcoming assembly polls 2022. The state government has politicized all sporting bodies and most clubs in the state have turned into ruling party dens.
Samil Volvoikar was the Chief Guest at the function and handed over the trophy and other prizes to the winners and runners up.
