CONG ASSURES JOBS AND SELF EMPLOYMENT GENERATION AFTER VOTED TO POWER
MAPUSA: The North Goa District President, Vijay Bhike has assured job creation and self-employment generation if his party is voted to power in the upcoming assembly polls in Goa and asked people to be aware of the dhongi (fake) babas coming in the state from Delhi and West Bengal promising a lot of freebies.
“The current BJP government in the state and centre is responsible for the rise in unemployment rate of Goa. This time when you go to vote, think about yourself, your state and your family. Vote for the party that will solve your issues and not increase your misery by taking bribes, reason behind inflation and unable to create unemployment. Many parties will come from outside and trying to fool our Goans by promising free water and electricity,” he said in a press briefing at the Mapusa Congress office on Friday.
“If we are voted to power this election, we promise to provide free government jobs to the aspiring youth from the state, adopt a corruption free and transparent recruitment process and provide training to the youth,” said Bhike.
The Former Calangute MLA, Agnelo Fernandes rebuked the cheap promise being made by the Andhra Pradesh BJP to sell liquor at Rs 50 per bottle If voted to power.
“To boost self-employment and encourage youth to take up business we will give loans up to 5 lacs at an interest rate of 5% p.a. This scheme will be made available for shacks owners, pilots and taxi drivers as well,”said Agnelo.
The former Sakhlim MLA, Pratap Gawas also spoke on the state of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) in Goa and their alliance with outsider parties has brought dishonour to the Lion.
The Congress leaders asked people to run a reality check before voting what these respective parties have done in states where they are in power. Have they done development, created jobs, provided basic amenities or just fulfilling their selfish motives?
