SAMIL ATTENDS FOOTBALL FINAL IN CARAMBOLIM
PANAJI: Madrid Club defeated FC Kamlavati 1-0 in the final of the 9-a-side football tournament, organized by FC Khalpora SC at Carambolim ground, recently.
The event was supported by Samil Volvoikar, Goa Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Social Worker from Cumbharjua.
Events like this are aimed at promoting sports in the state. ‘Khela Hobe’ (will play) is the battle cry of the TMC during the upcoming assembly polls 2022. The state government has politicized all sporting bodies and most clubs in the state have turned into ruling party dens.
Samil Volvoikar was the Chief Guest at the function and handed over the trophy and other prizes to the winners and runners up.
