Saligao: Tushar Tople, a potential candidate of Mapusa for the Trinamool Congress, said goodbye to Trinamool Congress on Tuesday after he resigned from the party
Tople announced his resignation in a press conference held at Mapusa .
Tople said the decision was taken respecting the sentiments of the people. Tople said that he held more than 150 meetings in 18 wards of Mapusa as a potential candidate in just 27 days of him joining the party .
Tople who was a former councillor of the mapusa municipal council had won from his ward with the support of the BJP and With the MGP announcing an Alliance with the Trinamool congress Tople decided to join Trinamool congress Party, but after holding a meeting with relatives and his friends and well wishers he decided to quit the party stating that he had not received any backing from the party
“In politics, some times wrong decisions happen and so i thought that i took a wrong decision of joining the TMC ” said Tople
When questioned as to whether he would join any other party after quitting the TMC tople said that he had not decided which party to join after leaving TMC
