Trinamool congress party’s calangute Candidate Anthony menezes said that the former calangute MLA Michael lobo who is the congress party’s candidate will not pose a challenge to him in the upcoming elections as the people have reposed their faith in TMC and their candidate and are happy with the works he had done despite not even being an MLA. .
Menezes filed his nomination with the election returning officer Mapusa as TMC candidate for Saligao constituency he was accompanied by a large number of supporters and also by former calangute MLA Agnelo fernandes and former Parra sarpanch Benedict D’souza
The people have reposed their faith in me and i am going to deliver for my constituency and I am going to be the people’s MLA the same congress MLA who was in the BJP was not even bothered about the constituency how can he say that he is going to do development when he joined the congress party” said Menezes
Further speaking former calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes said that the BJP backed calangute MLA Michael Lobo was not even bothered about serving the local people when he was MLA of Calangute during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and was know for only doing destructive developement in the BJP-led governemnt so how can the Micahel lobo now promise of serving the people after joining the congress party? questioned Former calangute MLA Agnelo fernandes.
It will be the defeat of the the BJP and congress candidates in calangute and the ultimate winner will be only TMC” Ferandes further said.
