Rotart Club of Mhapsa Elite conducted a free eye-check up camp at “Goa outreach” centre for underprivileged children, at Acoi, mapusa. Goa Outreach is a project (registered children’s charity) based in Goa with the aim of helping local disadvantaged children regardless of their religion, class, caste or gender. Many of these children are slum and street children who have arrived in Goa alone or with their families from neighbouring states in the hope of an easier and better life.
A total of 110 children (aged from 5 to 18 years) were screened. Of these 110 children, 20 were identified with refractory errors and will be provided free spectacles 👓 under Ujjwal Drishti Abhiyaan.
