PANAJI: The youth leader of TMC and RJD on Thursday joined Congress party in the presence of leader of opposition Digambar Kamat.
Priya Rathod, Youth General Secretary of TMC has joined back to Congress fold. While Ravi Naik from Margao and State President of RJD Ahmed Kadar joined Congress party.
Kadar was State President of JDU from 2021. He has merged into congress along with his entire state team.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Amarnath Panjikar and others were present on the occasion.
Digambar Kamat welcomed the new entrants and said that Congress is becoming stronger every passing day and this will definitely help to grow and form a stable government.
Earlier, Amarnath Panajikar had appealed to the Congress supporters, who had joined other parties, to come back and be part of the new Congress.
On the occasion, Digambar Kamat informed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Goa on Friday afternoon and will address meetings at Curchorem and Curtorim, at 4.30 pm and 5.45 pm respectively.
