The Bodgeshwar Xetkari Sangh has demanded with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to compensate the farmer whose land was damaged by constructing the helipad for the grand public meeting of the BJP which was attended by prime minister Narendra modi at Mapusa

The Sangh slammed the government for failing to develop Mapusa and for getting the helipad ready overnight.

“This is the first time in the history of Goa that within 24 hours a helipad has come up in Mapusa said barde and added that This is a complete waste of taxpayers’ money” said barde

the BJP government has shown us how to waste taxpayers’ money as around Rs 50-60 lakh have been spent on the helipad and now they are demolishing it Barde said.

the sangh further pointed out that the land owner Kalpana Pednekar, who is a farmer, was not even informed by any authority before cutting the mango trees.

“They should have taken No Objection Certificate before carrying out the work of the but they failed to do so” said barde

he further said that the Helipad which was constructed in one of the fields by cutting two coconut trees has damaged a nursery. If they can construct a helipad within hours then why has the present BJP led council failed to develop Mapusa for the past several years” questioned barde and appealed to the people vote out the BJP in the upcoming elections to protect Goa.

farmer kalpana pednekar said that she had filed a complaint with Mapusa Police and Deputy Collector but None of the authorities had informed her or sent her a notice.

“Coconut trees were cut down, my nursery and hoarding were damaged causing loss of lakhs of rupees” said pednekar.
