Calangute Police raided the premises of one Rudolf Fernandes’s for allegedly running a slaughterhouse at his residential premises at Naikavaddo

The information against the same was brought to the notice of DSPCA ( district society for prevent to cruelty of animals by North Goa by one person that Rudolf Fernandes has been running a slaughter house at his premises near Near Boa Viagem Chapel Mottant, naikavaddo Calangute, Goa and was later communicated to the Calangute Police Station in whose jurisdiction the premises was there .
Subsequently, on March 3, at about 10.30 am, the complainant and the Police team from Calangute Police Station and Govt Veterinary Officer, Calangute Dispensary searched the premises and During the raid, the police team found about 71 tin cans of cattle fat, lots of bones and horns of cows and bulls, gas burner, hooks, knives at the said premises evidencing the operation of a full-fledged slaughterhouse in the said premises of Rudolf Fernandes.
it is learnt that in July 2013 the same premises were raided by the police and a complaint was registered by them.
