A grand celebration was organised in Keerti Vidyalaya, School Hall, on 8th March from 10.a.m. onwards with great pomp and enthusiasm to mark the International Women’s Day

The special guest for this event were Mrs Anagha Kamat Sambary – winner of Mrs India Iconic Diva 2021 pageant, Miss. Richa Lavu Govekar – The Youngest Commercial Pilot of Goa and Mrs. Maria D’Silva – retired teacher of Keerti Vidyalaya.
The function was inaugurated with welcome dance staged by student Miss Diya Rajendra Mugdar followed by traditional lamp lighting ceremony at the hands of dignitaries.
A welcome speech was addressed by Headmaster Shri. Sudesh Kochrekar to inspire and encourage all the women to keep excelling consistently and to keep moving every time.
Students presented potted plants to all the dignified lady guests and greeted them which was followed by introduction of the chief guest and special invitees signifying the role of women in everyday life which received thunder of applause from the audience. To show gratitude towards all the guests and invitees , they were felicitated with a memento.
Student Miss Kavita Sunar Dhammar expressed her view on gender equality followed by Mrs Archana Haldankar speech on importance of women.
Prize Distribution for poster making competition , essay writing competition and greeting card making events which were held previously was held at the hands of the special invitees.
Manager of the school, Shri Parmanand Mandrekar expressed his views on women’s Day Celebration.
Mrs Anagha Kamat Sambary shared her experience of hardship in life. Mrs. Maria D’Silva expressed her view on gender equality and women’s day.
To show gratitude towards all the women primary students came in famous women personality get up. All witnessed a scintillating dance performance by the Miss Bhargavi Bhat, Miss Vidisha Vernekar, Miss Anvi Vengurlekar and Miss Chandani Govekar of Keerti Vidyalaya followed by a few spot prizes were organised for the staff and students for their recreation.
The programme was co-ordinated by Mrs.Harshala C. Salgaonkar and Mrs. Sangita G. Vaigankar
Compere for the formal programme was Miss. Saiccha Vernekar and for entertainment program was Miss Veniza Pinto.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by student Miss. Shruti Sawant.
