Calangute: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has said congress party needs to bring a change in the party leadership by introducing young leadership and added that the senior party leaders have to introspect and find out the reason behind their poor performance in the just concluded assembly elections

Lobo was speaking at the sidelines of the 109th birth anniversary celebrations of Goa’s first Chief minister Bhausaheb Bandodkar at calangute. also present were sarpanch of Calangute Shawn Martins and panch members and a large number of supporters.

i am just a new entrant into the congress party and i am a junior in the party and the senior party leaders need to find out the reason behind as to why the party put up a poor performance at the Just concluded assembly elections” said lobo adding that there was a need to build up the party at the grass root level

Lobo further said that the congress and other parties will work unitedly as a constructive opposition and try and point out the faults of the government by way of protests and even raising their voices speaking in the assembly.

Speaking about late Dayanand Bandodkar lobo said that bandodkar will be remembered for bringing in radical land reforms which enabled thousands of tenants to become owners of their own land, and also for ushering in a modern education system and other initiatives, which have today led to Goa being rated as one of the best states in India.
