His Excellency the Governor of Goa Shri P.S.Sreedharan Pillai has given monetary grant to IMA GOA STATE and six of the Local IMA branches as a part of his endeavor to help the poor and the needy geriatric patients

A function to announce the grants was  held on Thursday at GCCI HALL Panjim

The function was organised by IMA Goa State  along with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Goa Cancer Society. Dr Shekhar Salkar of IMA & GOA Cancer Society welcomed the gathering which was followed by the launching of the IMA GOA STATE 2022 LOGO by his Excellency the Governor of Goa Shri P.S.Sreedharan Pillai.

President IMA GOA State Dr Rufino Monteiro  presented the Report of activities of IMA GOA STATE and appraised the gathering about the logo / theme for the year- ‘ Care of the Old with a heart of Gold ‘. Dr Shekhar Salkar gave a PowerPoint Presentation on Goa Cancer Society.
in his address  His Excellency the Governor of Goa Shri P.S.Sreedharan Pillai noted his close association with Indian Medical Association in his home state of Kerala & was pleased to note the Theme for the year was on Care of Geriatric population .

He expressed his desire to be of help in future endeavors of IMA GOA STATE.  cheques of the monetary aid were distributed to Goa Cancer Society,  IMA GOA STATE and to six local branches of IMA GOA.

A monetary aid of Rupees One Lakh was given to each of the beneficiaries. Dr Amol Tilve proposed the vote of thanks while Dr Amol Mahaldar anchored the function.
