According to legend Jesus was beaten Publicly and was crowned with thorns and In his battered condition, was forced to carry a heavy wooden cross through the streets amid a jeering crowd. He was stripped of his clothing and finally, he was nailed to the cross by his wrists along with his feet. He was left hanging on the cross until he died.
