Resource and smart classroom unveiled by P&G Kundaim and Round Table India at St Elizabeth High School, Pomburpa

PANAJI: In keeping with latest trends in the education sector, St Elizabeth High School, Pomburpa recently unveiled a newly-constructed resource room and smart classroom.

The infrastructure has been set up with the assistance from Procter and Gamble (P&G) under its Shiksha Initiative, and its partners Round Table India Hubli Knights RT 178 and Belgaum RT 119.

The rooms were inaugurated by Gaurav Chaturvedi, Plant Manager of P&G Kundaim along with Rachit Bansal, RTIT Trustee and National Project Convener, Vinayak Mangalwadhe, Chairman of Belgaum Round Table 119 and Ankesh Jain, RTIT Trustee and Area 10 Chairman, in the presence of P&G staff, Tablers of RTI, Fr George Aguiar, School Manager, Carmen Da Cruz, Headmistress along with staff and students of the school.

The resource room has been designed with an emphasis on creating an educative and visually appealing set up that will promote easy learning for weaker children.

It is a special classroom where children can get their educational needs met individually or in a small group. This room will cater to 50 children with special needs from Std 5th to 10th. This will improve the quality of education for many other children in Pomburpa and neighbouring villages as well.

In addition to the resource room, P&G along with Round Table India have also provided an interactive display board for a smart classroom which will help students gain an advantage in enhanced and interactive learning as well as easy access to online content, thus increasing productivity.

Fr Aguiar along with the staff and students of the school expressed their gratitude to P&G and Round Table India for their gesture.
