according to the fire service officials the incident occurred at around at around -03: 30 hours in the wee hours of Tuesday fire service officials further informed that there were around five owners sharing common wall to the house which included owners namely Lakshmi Maruti yallanwni house number 119.loss around rs -2 lacs ,Champa Aiwalk loss around 1,00,000/- , Ramdas Chauhan house number 120/3 loss around rs 20000 ,Ashok Durga Talwar house number 119 / 9 loss around :-20000 Kasturi Talwara. A total of four fire tenders were engaged for fire fighting and bringing the fire under control which included vehicles from Mapusa fire station one from Porvorim fire station and one from Panaji headquarters fire station.
the staff who were part of the fire fighting operation included leading fire fighter Mapusa fire station Shri Suraj shetgaonkar driver operator Shri Devendra Naik , state fire fighter Shri Vasudev state Firefighter fire fighter Shri Paresh Mandrekar leading fire fighter Shri Pravin Gaonkar leading Firefighter Shri Prashant Shetgaonkar and driver operator Shri Premanand Kambli also the staff from Porvorim fire station included leading fire fighter Shri Salim Sheikh driver operator. Shri Laximan parwar, firefighter Gauresh naik and fire fighter from the panaji headquarter Shri Mahesh Majik. the staff from the Panaji headquarters fire station included leading Firefighter Shri Prakash kannaik ,driver operator Shri Suchit swal Firefighter Shri Ronny D’Souza, fire fighter Shri Rajan Pednekar and fire fighter Shri Dattaram Dessai. the fire service officials however could not ascertain the exact cause of the fire but suspected it to be caused due to an electrical short circuit.
