The residents of Mapusa on Thursday marched to the office of the Assistant Engineer incharge of the electricity department voicing their anger against the sudden failure of electricity
In their complaint to the assistant engineer the residents pointed out that they are facing a lot of problems especially when the current fails and nowadays they had to use fans and AC’s and they cannot operate without current. the residents were supported by councillor of Mapusa Komal Dsouza and former councillor Narayan Ratwad
The residents pointed out to the Assistant engineer that they have to face a lot of problems due to the sudden power supply failures as nowadays we use fans and Ac’s and they cannot operate without electricity. The residents also pointed out to the engineer to see to it that the current is continually flowing. giving a patient hearing to the residents the assistant engineer said that that he was unaware of the power fluctuations happening and promised to find a solution to the problem and said that he will try and find a solution to the problem
from the month of march the temperature has increased above 35 degree celcius and the heat is also unbearable and we are very disturbed and we get fed up as even after making constant phone calls there is no one picking up calls in your department and so we have to blame your department” said Khorlim resident Narayan Ratwad
” During natural calamities it is seen there are power fluctuations happening due to natural calamities but now we want to know from the electricity department as to why there are constant power supply fluctuations happening for the the last 8 days when there was not a single natural calamity and will it be possible to avoid this?” questioned ward councillor Komal dsouza
the residents have requested the engineer to see to it that there is constant flow of electricity or else they will have to expresss their anger in a democratic way
