The Ambeachem fest mango festival will be held on 8th may 2022 sharp at 11.00
am @ montfort academy corlim Tiswadi Goa. The bolcaocho Gozali will be held under a mango tree with Minguel Braganza talking about care and conservation of the tree including removal of weeds (benol) from the tree at regular intervals with language instructor and Tv anchor Gwenn Gomes
This will be followed by a mango tree walk with Dr maryanne Lobo. ICAR old Goa will be displaying mango sapling and variety of mangoes and scientiest Mrs Surendra Talaulikar will demonstrate several dishes of sweets and drinks made of mangoes at the festival
Activities at the fest will include caricature and fun shop but we’ll known cartoonist Alexyz, molla making, rotesao, flower garland of abolim etc
The festival starts with the musical song channaichem rati with ghumot and kottieo there will also be a grafting session by Mrs priyanka naik followed by kottieo dance session on football skills with veteran football coaches fabian dsouza wnd Augustine dias of Goa united football academy. Bombay returnee multi saxophone player Mr Austin fernandes will be in discussion with Arturo dsouza
Konkani songs by person with disability Mrs Audrey pereira,(thivim) and saish Gauthankar (NAB) pomburpa will be performed at the fest” said curator of the event Marius Fernandes
The festival will also Balcaocho Gozaali by writer and performer Baba prasad with senior Journalist Mr prakash Kamat followed by dance by his formers troupe.
Pranil Karanjalkar a professional Ghumot player and his group will be presenting a skit and a musical performance. There will also be a display of products and skills by person with disability including those with low vision Autism
A variety of Mangoes and mango products and mango Grafts will also be on sale there will also be local home cooked organic goan food, predominantly mango based. the festival will end post lunch with a special programme called Ghumtacho nazz,
All are invited to participate in Ghumtacho nazz with their own ghumots. Ghumtacho Nazz will be led by Dr Glenis Mendonca and percussionist Inacio madeira
