State level Savitribai Phule Sahitya Bhushan Award announced to Bhavarth Mandrekar,

The state level Savitribai Phule Sahitya Bhushan Award in the field of literature given by the Maharashtra Government-approved Marathi Sahitya Mandal has been announced to Bhavarth Mandrekar, a historian from Goa. Mandrekar has been awarded this prestigious award for his Marathi book “Advitiy Ransangram” based on Indian National History.

Published in 2019, the book received spontaneous response from the readers of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The second edition of the book is currently under consideration and will be translated into English, said Mandrekar.

Advitiy Ransangram is the only book published on national history from Goan writer after Historian and researcher late Pisurlekar. The author has given a thrilling history of how the British had to wage intense struggle against the Indians during the establishment of their empire over India during the period of one hundred years from 1757 to 1857. The feature of this book is that it presents history to the readers of any age and especially to the readers who are not interested in history.

The distribution of this Savitribai Phule Sahitya Bhushan Award of Marathi Mandal will be held on 21st May at Thane, Maharashtra.
