Bertha Fernandes, headmistress of Keri Pedne, New English High School, and Navso alias Aba Naik, a senior teacher, were felicitated and sent a heartfelt farewell.
The special function was held at the school hall along with Bertha Fernandes, School Management Committee Chairman Ganu Vasta, Secretary Pandurang Sawant, Manager Sanjay Kaskar, Former Chairman Narayan Sopte Kerkar, High School Parent Teacher Association President Gangaram Mathkar, Vice President Jayanti Narvekar, Primary Department Parent Teacher Association President Madhukar Rangnekar and Bhavarth Mandrekar was present on the dias.
At the beginning of the program, music teacher Dilip Redkar welcomed everyone by performing the song Tu Buddhi De Prarthana and Aashi Pakhare Yeti. He was accompanied on tabla by Yashwant Shetye.
In his introductory speech, Pandurang Sawant thanked both the retired teachers for their contribution. He also wished them all the best for the future.
Teacher Bhavarth Mandrekar, who has been the headmaster of Keri New English High School for the coming academic year, was introduced and welcomed.
On this occasion, Mandrekar hoped that the prosperity of the school would be ensured if the students, parents, teachers, management and the community come together and work together for the overall development of the school.
Senior teachers of the school Nishita Akarkar, Satyawan Harji, Nikita Mathkar expressed their views.
Retired headmistress Bertha Fernandes was felicitated with a gift by Chairman Ganu Vasta. Speaking on the occasion, Fernandes expressed her gratitude for the support extended by the school, the co-teachers , parents and the management.
The program was moderated by teacher Neelam Mahaldar. Ganu Vast expressed vote of thanks.
