Babasaheb Ambedkar’s true nationalism made him a Yuganayak!

The Indian independence movement and Babasaheb’s social equality movement continued in parallel. The main motive behind this social movement was that the Indian citizen should be strong when the country becomes independent. As Babasaheb was the true nationalist of the country, since he became a Yuganayak and was able to dominate the minds of the people even today, said Mandrekar, a teacher, journalist and literary figure in Korgaon.
Mandrekar was speaking from the platform as the keynote speaker of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations organized by Siddharth Sports and Cultural Association, Korgaon.
Harmal Zilla Panchayat Samiti member Ranganath Kalshavkar as chief guest, Korgaon Panch member and former Sarpanch Pramila Desai as special guest, Dr. Ambedkar Janseva Sangha’s Pedne taluka president Divakar Jadhav, Yuganayak Goa vice president Sudan Pednekar, Siddharth Kala Krida Sangha president Sanjay Korgaonkar were present on the platform.
In his eloquent style, Bhavarth Mandrekar, while reviewing Babasaheb’s biography, depicts how he fought a constitutional struggle for the benefit of himself and the deprived, oppressed, Dalit community and other backward classes, women and the working class with education as the focal point of development. Bhavarth Mandrekar said that if today’s children want to develop themselves, then the society and the country will survive only if they follow the path with quality education and by adopting ethical values.
He further said that Babasaheb Ambedkar lived a life of struggle. Due to the oppressive norms of the caste system, they had to endure humiliation step by step. But without fear of adversity, they embarked on it with confidence. In times of crisis and conflict, they seek opportunities. He used his wings to give strength to the society which has lost its self-consciousness. That is why even though 131 years have passed, the greatness of this great man is still sung today.
Dist ZP Member Ranganath Kalshavkar said that Babasaheb’s thoughts are pearls. It is invaluable and today’s generation will be able to assimilate it and follow in the footsteps of those great men.
Yuganayak Goa Vice President Sudesh Pednekar gave guidance on who Babasaheb was and what we should learn from him. Divakar Jadhav and Sanjay Korgaonkar delivered timely speeches.
On behalf of Siddharth Arts and Sports Association, Bhavarth Mandrekar was felicitated by District Member ZP Ranganath Kalshavkar for his outstanding work in the fields of history, education, journalism, social service and literature. The meritorious students were also felicitated by the dignitaries.
