After a hiatus of three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the highly popular Konkan Fruit Festival is open to enthrall fruit lovers from May 13 to 15. The festival also featured its annual mango competition.
Started in 2003, the festival was initially held in the heritage precinct of Campal, around the Dr FL Gomes municipal garden. Later, the venue was shifted to the Mandovi riverside promenade, near the Children’s Park in Panaji.
This year, the exhibition is to be open for public viewing from 10am to 8pm. Botanical Society of Goa in the association with Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) erected an exhibition pandal and stalls on the promenade.
Today KONKAN FRUIT FEST was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Pradip Sarmokadam, Member -Secretary of Goa State Biodiversity Board . The fresh fruits and fruits Products are on display.
