PANAJI: Kidz World Primary School celebrated two decades since its founding, marking a significant milestone in its continuing journey towards helping mould the young minds of tomorrow.
Kidz World Primary School, located at Cabesa, Santa Cruz was started on 12th May, 2002 and from then onwards, the school has made rapid progress to give all-round development to the children under the able administration of Anthony & Carmelina Raposo.
“After two decades, we can look back with pride as to how much progress the school has made. Even though the pandemic was a setback, the management faced the challenge and could overcome many obstacles by observing all the government SoPs and with the cooperation of the parents and teachers,” Principal Charmaine Raposo, who has led the school through the difficult times, said.
The school also ensured the well-being of students by telephoning and maintaining a connect with them during the pandemic. It also set up infrastructure to enable online teaching and incorporated online worksheets, online tests and online evaluation.
Utmost care was taken to ensure sanitisation and hygiene in and around the school premises
“As we move forward, we are confident that the school will add more facilities like improving the infrastructure and other amenities,” she said.
The private unaided school consists of Grades from 1 to 4 and is co-educational with primary and pre-primary students attached, imparting education in the English medium.
From a small start back in 2002, the school today has its own private building with 14 classrooms, while two other larger rooms serve for non-teaching activities.
The school has a library and has 1500 books in its collection.. The school has 3 computers for teaching and learning purposes, and all are functional. The school has a computer aided learning lab.
Besides infrastructure for imparting education, the school also has adequate security for the students with a concrete boundary wall, clean toilets, functioning CCTVs, amongst other safety measures.
Moving forward, the school has planned innovative and fun activities for this year such as World Environment Day, zumba and drawing competitions to enhance and bring out the hidden talent in young minds.
