In a major show of camaraderie by the shareholders of Calangute Comunidade the Panel that was fielded by Atty. Anthony Francis D’Souza won all the posts by thumping majority.
There was a surprise turnout this morning with the highest ever number of Shareholders gathered together for the elections for the new Managing Committee.
The Shareholders have this time voted for a perfect blend of youth and experienced managing committee, there were a lot of unsuccessful attempts made by the Opposition to try and stall the proceedings by making irrelevant and petty issues, however kudos to the Presiding Officer and the Comunidade clerk who carried out the elections in a free and fair manner.
The newly elected managing committee comprises of the following members:-
1) President – Mr. Maurice Anthony C Pinto
2) Attorney – Mr. Brendan Januario Desouza
3) Treasurer – Mr. Myron Peter Rodrigues
The exuberance of youth is represented by the newly elected Attorney and Treasurer and the maturity of experience is aptly represented through the president. We wish the newly elected Managing Committee members all the very best for their tenure.
