Rotary club of Mapusa City under the able leadership of Rtn Maxwell Rodrigues had a Mega project day

Rotary club of Mapusa City under the able leadership of Rtn Maxwell Rodrigues had a Mega project day on the 30th *June* at Aroba Dhargal Goa. GO RURAL, under this rotary theme of Rotary club of Mapusa City, 3 projects were undertaken.A Rotary hand wash station was sponsored for Manguirish Vidyalaya English school at Aroba Shirgal, 12 scholarships of financial assistance were handed over to needy deserving students from the village and 10 Bycycles for girl child empowerment were handed over to 10 girls from the village. Rotary President Rtn Maxwell said, “Rotary believes in maintaining proper hygiene for students for their physical health and also disciplinary growth, hence we donated a state of art Hand wash station for the school students, also our rotary scholarships will help students in their educational journey and the bycycles will help girl child be self reliant and athmanirbal in going to school”. The hand wash station was inaugurated by Pernem MLA Shri Pravin Arlekar in presence of past district governor of rotary district 3170 Shri Gurudatt Bhakta, President Rtn Maxwell Rodrigues, school chairman Shri Shashikant Punaji and rotary members secratary Siddesh Gadekar, treasurer Vilan Sawant, Dhanaraj Harmalkar, Sitaram Gawas, Balkrishna Misquin, Santosh Dharwadkar, Nilkant Raul, Samir Toraskar and Sunil Signapurkar. MLA Pravin Arlekar appreciated the efforts of local boy rotary President Maxwell and Rotary club and promised to support rotary initiatives in Pernem taluka. Around 200 villagers attended the function and The vote of thanks was given by Rtn Vilan Sawant.
