There is a need to plant trees inorder to maintain ecological balance, and this is the right time to plant trees as Planting trees also keeps the area green said siollim MLA Delilah Lobo
Lobo was speaking to reporters after distribution of various of plant saplings at the siolim Marna panchayat. Various plant saplings such as Lime,cashew,Coconut,Mango,Supari,were distributed to the to the villagers of siolim .
“these fruit bearing trees and flowering plants which are provided by the forest department and the agriculture department should be planted in their place and taken care of” said Delilah Lobo. Besides lobo also present were former sarpanch of siolim marna Sharmila Vernekar, panch member monali agarwadekar and others.
