: Keri Parent Teachers Association annual meet
The annual general meeting of the parents teachers’ association of New English High School at Keri Pedne was held today in the school hall. Parents were informed about the innovative activities being implemented in the school along with various educational and cultural programs.
Nidhi Sahasi, a renowned counselor and psychiatrist from Punjab, Bhavarth Mandrekar, Headmaster of the school, Gangaram Mathkar, President of Parent Teachers Association, Jayanti Narvekar, Vice President, Shri Talkar, Prakash Faras, Pooja Raut, Shri Pednekar, Gajendra Kaskar, Secretary Sharmila Naik ,Treasurer Guruprasad Tandel were present.on the stage.
The headmaster of the school Bhavarth Mandrekar interacted with the parents. Mandrekar clarified that the school has a tendency to teach life skills to the children along with the school education and in this regard the mindset of the school is to inculcate in the children. He also said that the school strives to make the children happy by teaching them through actual action, experience and observation.
The true purpose of education will be achieved if teachers, parents, and institution drive continue to work with a student at focus. Mandrekar further appealed to the school and parents to work together to create a conducive environment for the children while respecting their individual freedom.
At the beginning of the program, the guests lit lamps and offered wreaths to the image of Goddess Saraswati. The school children welcomed everyone by singing a welcome song. Nishita Akarkar introduced the dignitaries
Sharmila Naik, Secretary, presented the annual report. Guruprasad Tandel, Treasurer of the Association presented the annual accounts.
As the school is entering its golden jubilee year, Yashwant Pednekar informed about the various programs organized in the school.
The program was moderated by Nilam Mahaldar. Vote of thanks proposed by Sarvesh Korgaonkar. The event was concluded with a pasaydana.
