A woman from Mapusa sustained grievous injuries when the vehicle in which she was travelling was hit by a landslide
According to sources the incident occurred in the morning when the who women was travelling to work in her car was hit by huge boulders and debris of a damaged compound wall suddenly came rolling down from a hillock located near saint Britto’s high school Mapusa. The impact was such that the car in which the women was travelling was completely damaged in the incident. The injured women was rushed to the north Goa district hospital for further treatment. On receiving information about the incident, the Mapusa fire service personal reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations chairperson of Mapusa Municipal council Shubhangi Vaigankar also rushed to the spot . Goa was lashed by heavy incessant rains on Monday leading to landslides at several places in the state.
