The art exhibition titled ‘ Aham Brahmasmi” is organised by four young contemporary artists at the Art Gallery of Sanskruti Bhavan at Patto Panaji.
Artists showcasing their works are
Siddharth Gaitonde,
Vasudev Shetye, Praveen Naik and Omkar Banaule.

The exhibition was inaugurated on 15th August at the hands of well known film Director Shri Dnyanesh Moghe.

The exhibition is based on the “Ganesha” theme. Around 53 artworks are displayed at the exhibition executed in different mediums like acrylic, watercolour, oil, pen, charcoal, mix media etc.

“India is a country of vast culture and traditions. Various festivities are celebrated across the country round the year. Among many festivals ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ is a widely celebrated festival in Goa. The Ganesh Festival is nearer and a thought came up to our mind to have an art show dedicated to Shree Ganesha. Thus, we all decided to have an exhibition and started working on the project”
As an artists i try to reflect my attachment with nature through paintings. Spontaneous flow of natural elements can be seen in my most of the artworks displayed here” states Siddharth.

Vasudev told that ” Ganesha is adorned by all and is a favourite God of children as well as elders. For this particular show we all have tried to keep the prices of paintings very affordable so that a common man can afford to purchase any artwork he liked. Whatever I see around me, such nature, goan culture, architecture is reflected in my paintings.

This exhibition is a pictorial offerings to lord Ganesha. We have tried toto experiment and explore the various forms of Ganesh using different techniques with very colourful and innovative ideas. I have tried to portray Ganesha through a different perspective and conceptualised his association with us” states Praveen.

Omkar says that, he likes to work in realistic and acdemic style and his paintings are based on his own experiences in life.

All the four artists are graduated from the Goa College of Art. Siddharth and Omkar has Post graduated from Sir J.J.School of Art, Mumbai. They have been regularly holding art exhibitions in Goa and have won several awards from the field of art for their art works.

The exhibition will be on display till 19 August from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.
