WITHDRAW AMENDMENT TO GOA LAND DEVELOPEMENT ACT SAYS MOIRA GAONKARS
The gaonkars of moira communidade have asked the goa government to withdraw the propsoed amendment to the GOa land development and construction (regulation act) as it will bady effect the the moira village and ecology such as agriculture land, khazans, hills, water table, rivers, sluice gates etc.
the president of moira communidae Rui D’gama has said that the increase in floor area ratio with high rise buildings, eco- zones farm houses will pollute the water table with sewerage, garbage, depriving the villagers of drinking water.
as the communidade of moira the Gaonkars will not permit the government to legalise illegal construction on the communidade land as we are the absolute owners of moira village” said D’Gama in a press note
D’gama has further stated that proposed widening of road will destroy heritage houses and also the properties.
there has not been any central nor state grant of land in moira village or let the government prove it with their documents.
d’gama further stated
“the proposed amendment is self destructive to the government laws itself and against the code of the communidade which is a law.
hence the gaonkars of the communidade of Moira strongly objects to the proposed ammendment to the goa Land developement and const ( regulation act)” D’Gama has further stated
