calangute MLA michael lobo said that he had made a mistake by leaving the BJP and joining the congress he said that now he has corrected his mistake and has joined the BJP back MLA’s joining the BJP is the right move and stated that MLA’s have not betrayed the trust of the people inpsite of taking an oath from God not to defect from the party
Lobo was sepaking to reporters at the sidelines of the birth asnniversary celebrations Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Program held at the Parra Panchayat .
“no one should leave the party if there is any personal differene but should stay with the party from the larger angle of the party” said lobo
speaking further lobo said that karyakartas from all the political parties ie the BJP, congress, AAP, and RG have looked up to him as a person who can deliver beyond the party lines
speaking further Lobo said that 8 MLA’s who have joined the BJP have not betrayed the trust of the people
“the people of Goa did not give the congress party mandate and so they could not form the governemnt at this election and so we had to join the party which has the majority so the oath doesn’t have any meaning”said lobo
the oath that we took from God was that we will not break from the congress party if we form the government so as the people of goa did not give the congress party mandate and so they could form the governemnt at this election so the oath does not have any meaning now” said Lobo
“we all believe in God but it was specifically mentioned in the oath that we will not join the any party once the the government is formed so last time the pepople gave the congress party the mandate and they should have formed the government but they failed to do so ” Lobo further said
