Aldona gets Community Care Clinic:
Panaji: Along with Fr Tomás Lobo, Parish Priest of St Thomas Church, Aldona, Natalina Vaz, Director of Models Group of Companies, the Aldona MLA Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira recently inaugurated the Community Care Clinic at Aldona.
The clinic is situated next to Asilo at Aldona, and is run by Dr Catarina Pereira.
Ferreira said that he had received several suggestions on making a private doctor available in Aldona.
“I got several suggestions about making a private doctor available in Aldona, and my response was that we would have one soon. The resident doctor, Dr Pereira, conceived this idea with an intention to collaborate with other doctors specialised in various fields to improve and provide affordable healthcare to the people of Aldona and neighbouring villages at large. I thank Dr Pereira for setting up this clinic to serve the people in need,” he said.
Dr Pereira, MBBS, also holds a Post Graduate Diploma health science (New Zealand), and FRSPH (Fellow of Royal Society of Public Health – UK).
Her work experience includes clinical attachment at Dubai Hospital, Dubai, Geneva healthcare, Auckland, New Zealand, and JMJ hospital, Porvorim.
She is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (CMC Vellore).
This Clinic fulfils the long term aspirations of the people of Aldona and the neighbouring villages.
