Mapusa MLA Joshua dsouza attended the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Aastha’s Anand Niketan school Khrolim the foundation stone was laid at the hands of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with MLA of Bicholim Constituency Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Commissioner of GoaState Disability Commission Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar, and MMC Chairperson Shubhangi Vaigankar at Aastha’s Anand Niketan School, Khorlim, Mapusa.
Also present were MMC Councillors, Parents, Students, and Staff of Aastha’s AnandNiketan School.

Aastha’s Anand Niketan has always been close to our hearts, and that is the reason why my late father was so fondly associated with this institute was that we have a special needs child in our home which made us understand the difficulties and challenges that go into raising a child with special needs, which is why my father was so passionate about the initiative by this institution” said Joshua

” Not everybody has the capacity, patience, drive and desire to run such an institution, and that is where this group of very dedicated people came together to form this institute to create a safe and healthy environment for these children” said Joshua
speaking further mapusa MLA Joshua Dsouza has said that there is no collapse of law and order in the state and the the people are taking advantage of hospitable nature of the goans Joshua was reacting to the recent incident of an attempt to kidnap a schoolgirl by a burqa-clad woman in Mapusa on Thursday

there is no collapse of law and order as there are always instances and crimes are always there in coutries having the best law and order and we cannot say that on just some incidences that there is a collapse of law and order” said Joshua

“we have to be vigilant and we are a peaceful state where whoever comes for help we help and that is the nature of every goan and there are a lot of people there to take advantage of this so it is the good nature of the goans which is taken for granted and people are trying to capitalise on the openness of the people” Joshua further said
