On the occasion of the Diwali festival, the parra citizens forum association will organize the 8th “All Goa Akash Kandil” competition on October 23.
The competition will be held at Jacknim, Parra Tinto, opposite the Polyclinic and is open for People of Goa.
There will be only one entry per person and there won’t be any entry fee. The Akash Kandil should be brought to the venue by 10 am .
The contest is an initiative of Calangute MLA Michael Lobo.
Speaking to reporters calangute MLA Michael lobo said that the Akash Kandil must be traditional in appearance and should be decorated at home. They have also appealed to participants to avoid the use of plastic material.
