Farmers from siolim constituency are fortunate to get the first use of the harvester machine to harvest the crop this year as MLA Delilah lobo has provided a harvester mahcine for the farmers of Verla canca .
Over the years, the farmers were provided with a harvester machine either at the end of the harvesting season or had to wait till farmers of other villages in the constituency finished or were not provided one at all.
However this year, the farmers of siolim are lucky to get the harvester at the beginning, through an initiative of siolim MLA Delilah Lobo
The harvester was launched by Delilah Lobo in the presence of sarpanch of verla canca dipali Bicholkar and deputy sarpanch digambar kalangutkar . The machine has been provided free of cost to the farmers of siolim. Lobo stated that the harvester machines would benefit farmers from siolim constituency including the villages of Calangute, Arpora-Nagoa, Candolim and Parra.
“ i had promised in my manifesto that free harvesting machines would be provided to the farmers and so keeping up to that promise i have provided free harvesting machines I urge t the farmers to use these machines and to carry out harvesting and also to grow crops and maintain the greenary in the village.”said lobo.
