Lions Club of Calangute Coastal Organized a first of its kind Session on Women’s Health in Calangute . The Session was conducted by Dr Emmanuel Gracias, a renowned Gynecologist and Obstetrician from Margao who the joint M.D of Gracias Maternity Hospital. Dr Emmanuel has a master’s in Obstetrics and Gynecology and several diplomas in minimal access surgery and reproductive medicine. Dr Gracias Spoke in detail about Menopause and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The program was well attended by a large number of women from the Calangute. The President of Lions Club of Calangute, Lion Chester Fernandes on this occasion spoke about the need of modern women to be aware of their health and the symptoms related to ageing. The Program Director, Lion Mahy Simepurshkar, who also was the 1st Runner of Mrs. Goa last year, coordinated the successful event and expressed her thanks to the Doctor for the extremely educative, informative, and interesting session.
Lions club of Calangute Coastal plans to conduct many more similar sessions for different age groups of woman and children in the constituency.
