A music video by eminent artist Tracy de Calangute created especially for Disability right association in honour of its 20th anniversary celebrations was released at the Sanjay Centre for Special Education was launched
The music video was released by the president of DRAG avelio D’sa as part of an evaluation and Rehabilitation camp for employment of persons with disabilities organised by the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa; in association with National Career Service Centre for Differently-Abled, Mumbai, and Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG). the music for the video has been arranged by Senon De souza, while the lyrics for the music video has been written by Silva de benaulim. the song is available on youtube
speaking to reporterss artist tracy de calangute expressed her gratitude to DRAG for giving her a chance to release a music video song in honour of its 20th annivesary celebrations
“I am thankful to the president Avelino D’sa for giving me a chance to release a song in honour of its 20th anniversary” said Tracy de Calangute
“the main puropse of starting the music video is to share the message of our association among the youth as konkani music and tiatr is the only medium to reach out to the public on disability and also to highlight the work of the association for the last 20 years and i appeal to the general public to listen to the song on the youtube channel of tracy de calangute ” said President of DRAG Avelino D’sa
The State Commissioner for People with Disabilities, Guruprasad Pawaskar, noted that pre-pandemic job markets already had “significant” barriers for people with disabilities. However the existing barriers have been exacerbated by the pandemic and so the State Commission for Person with disabilties has set up a two-day camp with the goal of empowering persons with disabilities to become self-sufficient” said Pawaskar
During the camp the evaluation of persons with disabilities was done to assess their physical efficiencies, measure their psychological strength aptitude and areas of interest to unfold their potentials
