the villagers of Camurlim village recently raised their strong opposition to the erection of the mobile tower in their as they fear that the tower will emit harmful radiation which could pose a health hazard to them
the people of camurlim a tiny village located on the banks of the Chapora River in Bardez strongly opposed the construction of a mobile tower in the settlement. Sarpanch of Camurlim Chhaya Gadi, Deputy Sarpanch Sanjana Mashelkar along with villagers gathered in large numbers in the area and people staged a protest on the road. Seeing that the situation was going out of control the police were called in. At this time, Sarpanch Chhaya Gad and others appealed to the contractors and officials to construct the mobile tower in an area which was from residential area instead of putting up the tower close to a residential area . Meanwhile, it has been decided to keep the construction of mobile towers in abeyance by the company concerned for a temporary period for fear of law and order . Meanwhile, sarpanch Chhaya Ghadi while talking to the local media said that there will be strong opposition from the panchayat body as well as the villagers towards the construction of the mobile tower
